Hydro Aluminium – Birtley installs new pumps

Kelly Controls has won the contract to replace the aging Oilgear D type pumps on Hydro’s Fielding 1600-ton press for the modern style Oilgear PVV.
The new system features diverter manifold blocks to minimise piping modifications and Electronic digital pump control.

New research press for ALCAN

ALCAN INTERNATIONAL has recently awarded INTOCO and Kelly Control Systems of Gloucester, England, the contract to design and build a new 850-ton aluminium extrusion press for their Research and development centre in Kingston, Canada.
The advanced specification of this press required a state-of-the-art electrical and hydraulic control system. The machine is required to simulate all possible extrusion process conditions encountered by Alcan billet throughout the world.
